Celebrating Nurses’ Day: 2 UKRN’s Journey and an NCLEX Program for Aspiring USRNs

Belated Happy Nurses’ Day, everyone!

Last week was a pretty eventful one for nurses as nursing organizations, health care institutions and other relevant parties gathered together to celebrate the crucial role that they play in the world. It was the perfect time for nurses to step back from their busy schedules and recognize the many wins that they’ve achieved and the progress that they can look forward to in the future. There are still a lot of hurdles to surpass of course, but it’s good to note that nurses are somehow on the right track.

In line with this occasion, two U.K.-based Filipino nurses shared their positive experience with the National Health Service, the United Kingdom’s publicly funded healthcare system. Nurses Stephanie Magbanua and Paolo Zabat, who started working at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) just a few years ago, had only good things to say about their journey to the U.K. They were initially concerned with the new working environment as they were both international recruits. But despite this, they felt so much warmth and support from their colleagues instead, which allowed them to continue performing well even during the pandemic. You can check out their interview here.

The United States’ National Council Licensure Examination or the NCLEX is considered to be the most challenging nurse licensure exam in the world.
