December 2013 Nursing Board Exams is "Most Difficult"
The lowest passing rate (number of passers divided by number of takers) in the Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE) in the last 18 years has been the one held in December 2013. The passing rate was 30.9% (10,977 passers vs. 35,475 total takers). the lowest since the April 1996 NLE.
The second lowest passing rate was in December 2011, when there were 22,760 passers, as against 67,095 takers, or a passing rate of 33.9%.
The most recent NLE was also "difficult " . Done in May 2014, this exam had a 38.5% passing rate, the 5th lowest in the last 18 years. Below table shows the Lowest Five .
